After being downgraded from the #1 starter to the #2 slot for the World Series, Sewell pitched a pair of shutouts in games 2 and 5. He gave up just five hits in 18 innings while walking five and striking out three. Sewell beat the Indians 3-0 in game 2 and 4-0 in game 5.
