April 9: The Giants took a 3-0 lead, but the Reds tied it with three in the bottom of the seventh, ending what had been a good start for Rick Reuschel. But, the Giants exploded for five two-out runs in the top of the ninth, as Robby Thompson had a two-run single, Will Clark drove in two with a triple, and Kevin Mitchell followed with an RBI single.
