After inexplicably dropping two of three simulations to the WCC’s worst team at home a week ago, the Waves took care of business on the road by matching their real-life result and winning all three pretend contests. As in reality, Stacy Davis led the Waves in scoring in all three sims.
Real: [W] Pepperdine 75, San Diego 65 — 7-3
CB2K: [W] Pepperdine 77, San Diego 54 — 6-4
APC: [W] Pepperdine 88, San Diego 74 — 8-2
CCB: [W] Pepperdine 71, San Diego 62 — 6-4
Rolling dice, the Waves went from a 16-point loss to a 23-point win. Go figure. The dice were not kind to the Toreros, as they shot less than 30 percent for the game. A 16-0 run early in the game made it 28-10 and it was a rout the entire time.
In Action! PC, the Toreros had a two-point lead at 68-66 with eight minutes left but the Waves closed the game on a 22-6 run. Stacy Davis had 25 in the real game and he had 28 in this one, 21 of them coming in the first half.
The Courtside College Basketball game was close for the first 30 minutes, with the biggest lead being maybe five points for either side, and usually closer to two. But the Waves finally went on a little run to put some distance between them and the Toreros to earn a nine-point win. The 71-62 final was closest to the 75-65 actual score among the three.
