The Giants opened up their home schedule with a three-game sweep of the rival Dodgers. Game one of the series needed a comeback, but San Francisco cruised to victories in games two and three, including a one-hit shutout from Scott Garrelts in the finale. Garrelts has opened the season with two straight shutouts. The Giants have won six in a row.
