April 27: The Giants jumped to a 3-0 lead after three innings, and it was 3-1 after four. Kevin Mitchell hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning and Will Clark smacked a two-RBI double in the sixth to put the game out of reach. Scott Garrelts only gave up three hits and one run in the first eight innings before the Cardinals tacked on two more hits and their second run in the ninth.
