May 6: After 10 1/2 scoreless innings, Kevin Mitchell ended it with a two-out, walk-off grand slam. The Giants put runners into scoring position in six of the first 10 innings but couldn’t come through. In the 11th, a one-out error put a runner on base. After the second out, Donell Nixon singled, Will Clark walked and Mitchell ended the contest with his 12th home run of the season.
