The Giants ran their winning streak to nine games after a three-game sweep at Montreal. The Expos, who won two of three in real life, matched their actual score in two of the three games. Don Robinson, a pitcher known for his good hitting, collected three home runs in 1989 and he’s already got four in this simulation. Kevin Mitchell hit his 14th and 15th home runs. The Giants are eight wins ahead of pace after 36 games.

Kevin Mitchell added a solo home run later in the inning. Rick Reuschel improved to 6-0 in nine starts, giving up only a solo homer to Spike Own in the third inning. Only two other Expos got into scoring position.

May 13: Don Robinson helped himself with a solo homer in the third inning, though Montreal tied it at 1-1 in the bottom half of the frame. In the sixth, Jose Uribe had a two-out RBI single, and in the seventh, Ernest Riles did the same. Spike Owen doubled in the third and scored Montreal’s only run, and that was the only time an Expo reached second base.
