2/20/2016 Santa Clara at Pepperdine

Just like in real life, Senior Night (the home finale) was a successful venture, as the Waves beat Santa Clara in all three simulations. One game remains in the regular season. Pepperdine is assured of finishing with a better record in one sim and can make it two, while the third sim needs a win to match the final record.

Real: [W] Pepperdine 88, Santa Clara 76 — 10-7
CB2K: [W] Pepperdine 62, Santa Clara 58 — 9-8
APC: [W] Pepperdine 70, Santa Clara 67 — 12-5
CCB: [W] Pepperdine 84, Santa Clara 55 — 10-7

The Waves led for almost the entirety of the CB2K cards-and-dice game. Pepperdine led by 10 at 30-20 though Santa Clara then posted an 11-0 run to go up by one. The Waves responded to that with a 16-2 run to go ahead 46-33. The Broncos immediately came back with a 9-0 run. The deficit was just three in the closing minute but the Waves held on.

If you knew that Stacy Davis and Lamond Murray Jr. would only combine for 13 points, and that Jett Raines would foul out after only scoring six points, and that Amadi Udenyi would only played four minutes due to injury, you would assume that the Waves would have been blown out. But Shawn Olden scored 21 off the bench and Jeremy Major had 20 and somehow the Waves won the Action! PC computer game by three.

The Waves had their first solid offensive performance in the Courtside College Basketball game in a while, scoring 84 points, and were excellent defensively in a 29-point win. Stacy Davis had 20 points and nine rebounds, almost matching the 20 & 10 he put up in real life.
