USC finally clinched the league title on the last gameday, ending a two-game losing streak by beating Stanford in the finale. The Trojans ended up not necessarily needing the victory, as UCLA was upset by Oregon State, giving USC the title by a final margin of two games. Long Beach State 6, Pepperdine 5 (11 innings): The Waves’ Ryan Christenson hit a grand slam in the fourth inning to erase a 3-0 deficit. Pepperdine went up 5-4 in the seventh on a Eric Thames’ RBI double, but the Beach tied it in the bottom half of the frame on a Garrett Hampson homer. It stayed 5-5 until the bottom of the 11th, when Jason Giambi led off with a walk, went to second on a groundout, and scored on Terrmel Sledge’s walk-off double.

Oregon State 6, UCLA 3: The Beavers’ Drew Rasmussen kept the powerful Bruin offense at bay, and OSU took a 2-0 lead before UCLA’s Shane Mack hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. The Beavers got a three-run shot from Cole Gillespie in the seventh to make it 5-1. The Bruins countered with a two-run homer from Eric Karros in the eighth, but Oregon State’s Adley Rutschman added an insurance tally with his solo homer in the bottom of the eighth.
