2022 CFB Playoff Championship

Just like Georgia did in real life, the Bulldogs dominated the competition and won the national championship. UGA hit the 50-point mark for the second straight game and shut down upset-minded USC in a 50-14 victory.

Georgia’s high-powered offense was ridiculous over the three games. Excluding drives at the end of a half or where the Bulldogs were just running out the clock, they scored on 27 of 33 possessions (15 touchdowns and 12 field goals), while punting just four times while losing two fumbles. Nine of the 15 TDs came on the ground, while Stetson Bennett tossed six touchdown passes. Kicker Jack Podlesny went 12-for-12 on field goals.

Coming off upset wins over Alabama, Michigan and Clemson, 10th-seeded USC had some early momentum in this one, going up 7-3 on a Caleb Williams touchdown pass. They forced a couple of punts, and drove down the field on their next two possessions but both ended in missed field goals. The Trojans ended up going 0-for-3 on field goal attempts in this one. UGA went up 20-7 at halftime and outscored USC 30-7 in the second half.
