April 23: Coming off his no-hitter, Mike Moore had another strong outing. Carney Lansford’s two-run double made it 2-0 in the third inning. After the Angels tied it, Mike Gallego put the A’s ahead 4-2 with a two-RBI double in the sixth. The Angels got one back in the top of the eighth, but Lansford led off the bottom of the eighth with a single and he eventually scored to restore the two-run margin.
