7/20-23/1989 Baltimore at Oakland

The A’s split a four-game series at home against the Orioles, which wasn’t a great result considering the real-life Oakland squad swept this series. One oddity saw Carney Lansford get knocked out of both games two and three with injuries. Tony LaRussa thankfully gave him the fourth game off, though the A’s could have used him. After 98 games, the A’s are now two wins behind pace.
