Sahith Theegala fired a 6-under 65 to take over first place after two rounds at Riviera County Club. He’ll head into the final round of the History Maker Golf simulation with a two-shot lead over William Mouw.
Theegala began the day in second, two shots back of Derek Hitchner. But a near-flawless round that included seven birdies and just one bogey propelled Theegala to the lead. He birdied four of the final six holes. He shared the day’s low score with RJ Manke, who went from a tie for eighth up to fourth.
