Clay Feagler remains in the lead, but it’s tight at the top of the leaderboard following Round 2 at Los Angeles County Club in the Waves’ History Maker Golf simulation. Joshua McCarthy had the best round of the day, a 5-under 65, moving him into a tie for second place, two shots back of Feagler. The third and final round will have six golfers start within five shots of Feagler, who is at 5-under.

- Feagler could only follow up his opening-round 64 with a 1-over 71, and saw his lead shrink from four to two. He had his only birdie on the first hole, and had 16 pars to go with a double-bogey on 11.
- McCarthy recorded eight birdies in all, including four straight between holes 8-11.
- McCarthy is joined in a tie for second with Highsmith and Mouw, who both went below 70 for the second straight round. Both had 2-under 68s. Mouw had five birdies and Highsmith had four.
- Disaster struck Putnam, who fell from second to a tie for 10th, and Wedel, who went from a tie for sixth to 13th.
- Only five golfers shot under par in Round 2.
- Three players had eagles: Cootes and Murphy on the par-5 14th hole, and Vrzich holed it in from the fairway on the par-4 18th.
