The third tournament of the Waves’ History Maker Golf campaign was the first to provide some late-round drama, as William Mouw and Clay Feagler finished tied atop the leaderboard after 54 holes. Mouw claimed the title at Los Angeles County Club after winning the first playoff hole.
Feagler opened the day with a two-shot lead over Mouw, Joe Highsmith and Joshua McCarthy. McCarthy briefly took a share of the lead with Feagler after 5. Mouw and Highsmith went in front after 9. Mouw was up by two after 15 holes, but his double-bogey on 16 and a Feagler birdie brought the two level at 4-under, along with RJ Manke, who was already in the clubhouse.
Mouw and Feagler both converted par putts on 17, and then both birdied 18 to get to 5-under and eliminate Manke. The duo went back to the par-5 first hole for the playoff. Mouw missed a makeable birdie putt and settled for par. Feagler had a tricky par putt go awry, and his bogey gave Mouw the title.

*** won in a playoff
- Mouw became the third different winner in three tournaments. He was the only player to post scores in the 60s in all three rounds. Though he’s sixth overall on the scoring average list, Mouw leads all players with seven below-par rounds out of nine.
- Feagler led by four after the first round and two after the second round, but couldn’t go wire-to-wire after shooting even-par in the final round. He had a tournament-best 15 birdies overall.
- Through nine rounds, Manke leads all players with a 67.56 average. His final-round 66 moved him into third place, and he’s now been in the top three in all three tournaments.
- The only other player to finish in the top five at all three tournaments is Highsmith, who settled for fourth place at LACC.
- Putnam had his second eagle of the tournament on the par-5 first hole.
- This was the toughest course yet, with players averaging a score of 71.08 on the par-70 course. Only the top four finished below-par.
