Italy I went on to win the group after then posting one-goal wins over Netherlands and Southern Europe. Netherlands claimed second place with a win over Brazil II in the finale. Southern Europe was the team eliminated after being shut out twice, though they did end with a close loss to Italy I.
The top goal-scorers in group play were Giuseppe Meazza of Italy with four, Johan Cruyff of Netherlands with three, and Falcao of Brazil with three.
