Sahith Theegala, William Mouw and Joe Highsmith had big second rounds at Pasatiempo Golf Course to move into the top three spots on the History Maker Golf leaderboard.
Theegala shot a 5-under 65 to take over the lead with an 8-under 132. Mouw had the low score in round two, a 7-under 63, to move into second at 133. Highsmith’s 65 put him into third at 134. Mouw will be going for his second straight win, while Theegala is also going for a second victory. Highsmith is looking for his first title.

- Mouw was flawless in his 7-under 63, with seven birdies and zero bogeys. He was 1-under after 11 holes and then birdied six of the final seven. He went from 10th place to second.
- Theegala had seven birdies in his round, while Highsmith had six.
- A number of other golfers were in or around the lead at the turn. Feagler was 6-under, Vrzich and DeHuff were 5-under, and McCarthy and Murphy were 4-under. Most of them faltered to one degree or another on the back nine.
- McCarthy and Feagler had eagles on the par-5 sixth hole.
- DeHuff had a run of four straight birdies on holes 6-9 and had the best front nine score of 30.
- Half the Waves finished below par in round two, with another two at even-par.
