GTOP S2W3: Recap

Things are crowded atop the standings after three weeks, with six of the nine teams having won six, seven or eight games. There’s a big gap between them and the bottom three teams. The 1930 St. Louis Cardinals became the first team to post a four-game sweep, while the 1922 New York Giants and 1927 New York Yankees each won three games to stay in the top three.

Despite having a .226 team batting average, which puts them in the bottom third of the league, the Giants have the best winning percentage at this point (.750), largely thanks to their league-best 2.97 ERA. The Giants and Yankees next square off in the biggest series of week 4.
