In what’s been an up-and-down season so far, the Sacramento Kings have proven they can do one thing, and that’s beat the rival Golden State Warriors. The Kings rolled to a 124-114 home victory to improve to 3-0 against the Warriors in the early going.
Four Kings had double-doubles: Domantas Sabonis (28 points, 19 rebounds), De’Aaron Fox (23 points, 11 assists), Keegan Murray (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Harrison Barnes (11 points, 12 rebounds).
Once again the Kings had no answer for Stephen Curry (40 points, nine three-pointers) and Klay Thompson (31 points, seven three-pointers), but only one other Warrior scored more than six points, and that was Andrew Wiggins with 11.
The Kings (7-5), who overcame a 15-point second-quarter deficit, enjoyed a 73-48 rebounding edge, and had 17 offensive rebounds to the Warriors’ five.
