The Kings wrapped up a terrible three-game road trip in which they posted losses of eight, 28 and 29 points, the finale being a 126-97 defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics.
The Kings never led in the game and trailed by 20 or more points for the final 27 minutes of the contest.
Boston shot 57.5% from the field and was led by Jayson Tatum’s 30 points and 12 rebounds. Jaylen Brown scored 24 points and Malcolm Brogdon had 21 off the bench.
The Kings shot 41.5% from the field. De’Aaron Fox scored a team-high 21 points but it came on 9-for-25 shooting. Kevin Huerter scored 20 and Domantas Sabonis had 17, but that was it for double-figure scorers.

The Celtics scored the first four points and never trailed. The Kings managed to tie the score just once at 6-6 after Fox scored four straight points. Brogdon scored the final five points of the first quarter to give the Celtics a 35-26 lead at the break.
Boston took its first double-digit lead at 40-30 after a Marcus Smart three-pointer. The last time the Kings had the deficit in single-digits came at 47-38 with under seven minutes to play in the half after Harrison Barnes scored. It all fell apart from there, as the Celtics went on a 20-2 run over the next five minutes, with Tatum scoring seven points. That made it 67-40, and Boston took a 69-47 halftime lead.
The Kings never got closer than 21 points the rest of the way. Boston’s largest lead of the third quarter was 32 points, and they went up by as many as 34 in the fourth quarter.
