Harrison Barnes scored a season-high 31 points and Domantas Sabonis had a monster triple-double to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 124-97 home win over the Atlanta Hawks.
It was quite a turnaround from the first meeting, which the Hawks won 148-120 in Atlanta. In addition to giving up 51 fewer points, it was just the third time this season Sacramento (21-16) held an opponent under 100 points.
Barnes made 12 of 15 shots from the field. De’Aaron Fox added 26 points. Sabonis scored just 14 points, but grabbed 20 rebounds and handed out 15 assists. It was his second triple-double of the season.
Trae Young led the Hawks with 23 points. Atlanta shot just 45.7% to Sacramento’s 54.0%.

The Kings never trailed in the contest. Kevin Huerter and Barnes hit back-to-back three-pointers to give Sacramento its first double-digit lead at 21-10. A basket by Trey Lyles with under two minutes to go in the first quarter made it 27-16, and the Kings would keep a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game. It was 28-18 at the end of the period.
In the second quarter, it was a 10-point game at 35-25, and then the Kings scored the next eight points, with three-pointers by Fox and Keegan Murray. Barnes had the last basket of the half, which put Sacramento up 64-43.
After scoring the final four points of the second quarter, the Kings opened the third quarter on an 11-0 run to push the lead to 32 at 75-43. Barnes had seven straight points during the run. Moments later, back-to-back baskets by Barnes gave the Kings their biggest lead, 33, at 79-46. Atlanta would close the third quarter on a 10-1 run, but that only made it 88-66.
Atlanta got the deficit down to 16 points a few times in the fourth quarter, but the Kings put the game away late with a 9-0 run, with Fox scoring five and Barnes notching four, making it 120-92.
