Africa-Asia-Australia heads home after picking up just two points. After opening with two ties, Italy II won the group with a 2-1 victory over Western Europe. After a shock loss to Western Europe, Germany II was on the verge of elimination heading into the final game, but scored right at the start against A-A-A and had a man advantage in a 3-0 victory.
Germany’s Jurgen Klinsmann scored five of his team’s seven goals to lead the group. Italy’s Alessando Del Piero and Western Europe’s Eden Hazard both scored twice.
