Domantas Sabonis’ third triple-double of the season went to waste as the Sacramento Kings suffered another lackluster home loss, this time 118-104 to the Toronto Raptors.
The Kings (28-19) lost for the third time in the last four home games. It only gets harder from here, as they now head out on a seven-game road trip.
Sacramento outshot Toronto 52.6% to 49.5%, but the Raptors had a remarkable 19-4 edge in turnovers.
Sabonis had 16 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. De’Aaron Fox had a game-high 27 points.
Gary Trent Jr. scored 25 to lead the Raptors and Pascal Siakam had 23. Fred VanVleet came close to a triple-double with 19 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.

The Kings had a pretty dominant first quarter, but couldn’t make it last. Fox had 10 points in the first 5+ minutes to help get Sacramento out to a 15-5 lead. They took a 12-point lead, their largest of the game, on three occasions, last at 33-21. It was 37-30 at the end of the quarter.
But, Sacramento’s offensive output diminished with each following quarter. Other than a tie at 42, the Kings led the entire second quarter, though by single-digits. It was 63-60 at halftime.
Toronto took its first lead since 5-4 at 68-67 during a 9-0 run. The Kings would never lead again. The Raptors went up by seven at 76-69, though the Kings would later tie it at 83. Toronto led 93-87 at the end of the period.
Sacramento managed just 17 fourth-quarter points, and Toronto led by double-digits for the final eight minutes of the contest.
