In one of the best games of the season, Keegan Murray hit a jumper at the buzzer to give the Sacramento Kings a 114-112 road victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The game featured 16 lead changes, including six in the fourth quarter.
Murray was a good choice for the last shot, as he didn’t miss during the game en route to 16 points (6-6 FG, 3-3 3FG, 1-1 FT). Ten of those points came in the fourth quarter. De’Aaron Fox had a rough shooting night but had a team-high 24 points. Domantas Sabonis (19 points, 10 rebounds) and Harrison Barnes (16 points, 10 rebounds) both had double-doubles.
Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell led the Timberwolves with 26 and 23 points, respectively. Both teams shot .500 and made 10 three-pointers, but the Kings (29-19) had a big advantage at the free throw line, doubling up the Timberwolves 24-12 in makes.
This is the first of two consecutive games in Minnesota.

The Timberwolves led for the majority of the first quarter, going up by as many as eight points at 22-14, before taking a 30-27 lead at the end of the period.
Minnesota took its first double-digit lead at 37-27, and its biggest lead of the game of 11 points at 42-31 with under 10 minutes to go in the second quarter. But the Kings got things going from there, and regained the lead at 50-49 after a Fox basket. The teams traded several leads and Sacramento went into halftime with a 56-54 lead.
A closely contested third quarter saw four more lead changes. Malik Monk’s three-pointer at the end of the period put Sacramento up by six at 88-82.
Over the final 10 minutes, the biggest lead of the game was four, as the Kings led 107-103 with under four minutes to go after a Murray three-point play. A Murray three-pointer had the Kings in front 110-107 with under two minutes to go. But the Timberwolves scored the next five points, and two free throws by Russell put Minnesota up 112-110 with a minute left.
Barnes scored to tie the game with 30 seconds left. On Minnesota’s final offensive possession, Russell committed an offensive foul. The Kings worked the clock down to the final seconds. Fox drove and kicked the ball to an open Murray, who hit an 18-footer at the buzzer for the win.
