De’Aaron Fox outdueled Anthony Edwards and the Sacramento Kings won their second straight close game against the home Minnesota Timberwolves, 114-111.
Fox overcame a slow start to finish with 37 points, while Edwards scored 35.
Domantas Sabonis added 23 points and 17 rebounds for the Kings, who shot 52.3% to the Timberwolves’ 48.9%.
At 30-19, the Kings are 11 games over .500 for the second time this season.

The Kings never led in the first half, though there were six ties and the Timberwolves never led by more than six points. It was 25-23 after one quarter and 52-50 at halftime.
Both offenses were near-unstoppable in the third quarter, as Sacramento outscored Minnesota 40-35, with Fox getting 16 of them. His three-point play gave the Kings their first lead at 56-54 early in the period. That was the first of seven lead changes in the quarter. Fox hit a three-pointer to put the Kings up 81-78, and they’d never trail again. It was 90-87 at the end of three.
The Timberwolves tied the game at 93, and again at 102 with under six minutes to play. But Keegan Murray and Fox both converted three-point plays, and Sabonis scored to make it an 8-0 run and a 110-102 lead with under four minutes to play. The Timberwolves got no closer than three the rest of the way.
