2/8/23: Sacramento 128, Houston 109

The Sacramento Kings rolled to their second straight easy win at the Houston Rockets. This one was more high-scoring than the first, with the Kings taking a 128-109 victory.

De’Aaron Fox scored 30 points and Domantas Sabonis had 22 to lead the Kings (32-22). Malik Monk had 10 of his 17 points in the first quarter. Jalen Green had 35 for the Rockets.

Sacramento outshot Houston 57.1% to 47.3%.

The Rockets had a good first quarter and led by as many as seven points at 28-21. But the Kings ended the quarter on a 12-3 run to go up 33-31, and they wouldn’t trail again.

Sacramento took its first double-digit lead at 43-33 after a Fox basket. It was 71-62 at halftime.

After scoring the first four points of the third quarter, the Kings kept a double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest. After giving up just 17 points in the third quarter, Sacramento led 103-79.

Sacramento’s biggest lead of the game was 29 points at 117-88.
