The Sacramento Kings returned home after a seven-game road trip to post their most lopsided victory of the season, 44 points, as they romped to a 131-87 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
The Kings (33-22) shot 62.9% from the field, matching their season best. They shot 80% in the first half en route to an 80-37 lead. Sacramento enjoyed a 52-25 rebounding edge, 15-7 on offensive boards.
De’Aaron Fox poured in 38 points and Domantas Sabonis recorded his fourth triple-double of the season with 18 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. Kyrie Irving led the Mavericks with 19 points.
This was the first two straight home games against the Mavericks. They didn’t have Luka Doncic in this one, but they will in the second contest.

The Mavericks’ only highlight might have been a four-point lead at 6-2. It was tied at 16 midway through the quarter, but the Kings posted 11-0 and 12-0 runs en route to a 41-22 lead at the end of the first period.
Fox had six points in a 16-0 run early in the second quarter that made it a 38-point lead at 62-24. A Harrison Barnes basket made it a 40-point game at 68-28 with less than five minutes to go in the half. Sacramento took an 80-37 lead at the break.
A 12-0 run pushed the lead over 50 points late in the third quarter. Sacramento led 112-60 heading to the fourth.
The Kings’ largest lead of the game was 58 points at 126-68 after a Fox basket. Dallas ended the game on a 14-2 run to get the deficit down to 44.
