A night after posting a 44-point home win over the Dallas Mavericks, the two teams met again and this time the Sacramento Kings had a horrific performance, particularly in the final two minutes, as the Mavs pulled off a 104-100 victory.
Dallas, led by Kyrie Irving’s 27 points and Luka Doncic’s 26 points, scored the final seven points of the game.
De’Aaron Fox scored 29 and Domantas Sabonis had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings (33-23), who saw their shooting go from 63% to 49%.

The Kings got off to a brutal start as the Mavericks scored the first eight points and took a 12-point lead at 21-9. Sacramento got the deficit down to three at 30-27 at the end of the first quarter.
The Kings tied it at 30, but Dallas went back up by nine at 41-32. Sacramento finally had a positive run and took its first lead of the game at 48-45 after back-to-back baskets by Fox. The lead bounced back and forth the rest of the half and the Kings led 59-57 at the break.
Dallas led 65-62 in the third quarter when the Kings finally appeared to take control. Fox had seven points in a 13-0 run that gave Sacramento a 10-point lead at 75-65. It was 85-76 heading into the final quarter.
Sabonis had back-to-back baskets that gave Sacramento its biggest lead of the game, 11 points, at 91-80 with under nine minutes to go. But Reggie Bullock hit a pair of three-pointer to kickstart a 10-0 run, cutting the Mavericks’ deficit to one. The Kings got the lead back up to seven at 97-90 with under five minutes left. But, a 7-0 run by the Mavericks tied the game.
Keegan Murray hit a three-pointer to put the Kings back up 100-97 with 2 1/2 minutes left — but that would be Sacramento’s final points. Dallas scored seven points down the stretch, with Irving putting the Mavericks ahead to stay with four of them, and the Kings missed their six shots.
