It wasn’t quite as memorable as the real-life contest, but it was exciting nonetheless as the Sacramento Kings rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit to edge the Los Angeles Clippers on the road, 130-126.
De’Aaron Fox scored 18 of his 26 points in the second half to lead the Kings. Domantas Sabonis scored 20 and Keegan Murray had 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 33 points and 12 rebounds.
The real-life game saw the Kings win 176-175 in double overtime.
The Kings improved to 36-23, moving to a season-best 13 games over .500, and have won six of the last seven.

It was a closely contested first half, with a total of eight lead changes. Neither team pulled away until the very end, when the Clippers closed the half on a 9-2 run to take a 65-55 lead at halftime.
The Clippers built a 15-point lead on three occasions in the third quarter, last at 89-74. It was 93-84 heading into the final period.
Los Angeles still owned a 12-point lead at 108-96 with under nine minutes to play. But the Kings chipped away at the deficit. Fox had six points in an 8-0 run that made it 110-107 with less than seven minutes left. Not long after, the Kings put together a 9-0 run to claim the lead at 116-115 after a Sabonis basket. There were still a couple more lead changes and three ties after that point.
Tied at 124, Sabonis made two free throws with a little more than a minute left. After a stop, the Kings went to Sabonis again and he converted a three-point play to put the Kings up by five at 129-124. The Clippers got a basket to make it a three-point game, but Malik Monk iced the game by making one of two free throws in the final seconds.
