The Sacramento Kings had a wretched defensive effort in what should have been a winnable game and lost 131-120 on the road to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Thunder scored between 32 and 34 points all four quarters. The Kings (36-24) couldn’t keep pace in the second and third.
De’Aaron Fox had team highs of 24 points and 10 assists and Domantas Sabonis had 22 points and 17 rebounds. Jalen Williams scored 28 to lead the Thunder.

There were 10 lead changes in the first half. The Kings’ final lead of the contest came at 59-56 after a Keegan Murray basket. Oklahoma City scored the next nine points and went into halftime with a 65-61 lead.
The Thunder took their first double-digit lead at 81-71 in the third quarter and went up 99-85 at the end of three quarter.
OKC took its biggest lead of the game, 20 points, at 105-85 early in the fourth quarter. The Kings made it a single-digit game with under four minutes to go, but couldn’t get any closer than seven points.
