With De’Aaron Fox sidelined, multiple Sacramento Kings posted season-best numbers, most notably Domantas Sabonis and Harrison Barnes, and the Kings dominated the fourth quarter to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road, 133-116.
Two nights after losing to the host Thunder 131-120, the Kings (37-24) turned the tables by outscoring the Thunder 32-16 in the fourth quarter.
Sabonis (39 points) and Barnes (34 points) both had season highs for scoring and contributed nearly 55 percent of the Kings’ points. Sabonis made 16 of 21 shots from the field, while Barnes was 11-for-13 and connected on all five of his three-point attempts. Kevin Huerter sank five three-pointers and scored 23 points. Point guards Davion Mitchell and Matthew Dellavedova had season highs of 10 and seven assists, respectively.
The Thunder, which were outshot 62.0% to 52.1%, were led by Josh Giddey’s 20 points.

It looked like things might turn out the same way for the second straight game when the Thunder jumped out to a 38-30 lead after the first quarter. But the Kings tied the game at 48, and only trailed by one at 63-62 at halftime.
OKC led for the majority of the third quarter, but never by more than six points. A Mitchell three-pointer put Sacramento up 101-100 heading to the fourth quarter.
The Thunder tied the game at 101 to start the fourth, but then Barnes had nine points in a 16-2 run that put the Kings ahead 117-103 with under eight minutes to go, and it was pretty much over at that point as Sacramento’s defense locked down the Thunder.
