Playing at home, the Sacramento Kings led the Los Angeles Clippers by 21 points midway through the third quarter, but found a way to lose a very winnable game by the score of 131-120.
After the Kings went up 92-71, the Clippers outscored them 60-28 the rest of the way.
De’Aaron Fox scored 34 points, Harrison Barnes had 24, Domantas Sabonis posted 19 points and 15 rebounds and Trey Lyles added 16 points for the Kings (37-25).
The Kings were a mess defensively, allowing LA to shoot 57.3% and to make almost half of their three-pointers (16-for-34, 47.1%). Paul George scored 33 points and Russell Westbrook had 27.

The Kings took their first double-digit lead at 20-10 and it was still a 10-point game at 37-27 at the end of the first quarter. The lead stayed around that margin for most of the second quarter, and Sacramento led 70-59 at halftime.
Lyles had the final two baskets in an 11-0 run that put Sacramento ahead 92-71 with less than six minutes to go in the third quarter. But the Kings’ offense shut off right at that point. The Clippers ended the quarter on a 20-2 run to make it a one-point game at 94-91.
The Clippers took their first lead since early in the contest at 102-100 with under 10 minutes to play. After falling behind by four, the Kings regained the lead at 112-110 after back-to-back three-pointers by Lyles. But George scored the game’s next seven points, and the Clippers never trailed again.
