The Sacramento Kings continued their funk with a terrible first quarter against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but snapped out of it and rallied for a 125-115 home victory.
It was a long-range battle, as the Timberwolves made 20 of 39 three-pointers (51.3%), while the Kings (38-25) hit on 58.6% of theirs (17-for-29).
Keegan Murray had a season-high six three-pointers on six attempts en route to 21 points. Kevin Huerter also had 21 points and made five three-pointers. Domantas Sabonis had 18 points and 13 rebounds and De’Aaron Fox scored 18.
Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 31 points.

The Timberwolves couldn’t be stopped in the first quarter as they jumped out to a 41-25 lead. Three players hit double-figures in the first quarter alone. They ended the quarter on a 10-2 run to give them the 16-point lead.
The second quarte went better for the Kings, as they chipped away at the lead, getting it down to five points late, and they went into the break down by eight at 66-58.
Minnesota grew the lead back up to 15 points at 85-70 after a Taurean Prince three-pointer. It was almost all Kings from that point on. They scored eight straight to cut the deficit to five at 85-80. Minnesota responded with a pair of three-pointers to go back up by 11 at 91-80. The Kings then scored the final 14 points of the quarter to go in front 94-91.
There were six lead changes in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter. Minnesota went up by six at one point, but the Kings scored seven straight o train the lead. Tied at 107, Murray and Huerter hit three-pointers as part of a seven-point lead to make it 114-107 with under five minutes to play.
Minnesota got the deficit down to two at 114-112 with under four to go, but Murray had a basket and Huerter followed with another three-pointer to push lead back up to seven. The Kings ended the game on a 11-3 run.
