After trailing for most of the game, the Sacramento Kings dominated the final five minutes to post an important 110-100 road victory at the Washington Wizards.
After alternating wins and losses for the previous 11 games, the Kings (42-28) have their first two-game winning streak since February 23-24.
It was an odd game for the Kings. De’Aaron Fox (12 points) didn’t figure much into it. Domantas Sabonis was held to 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. He and Keegan Murray (who didn’t hit a three-pointer) tied for the team high with 18 points. The Kings got big bench contributions from Terence Davis and Davion Mitchell, who had 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Washington’s Bradley Beal led all scorers with 24 points. The Kings outshot the Wizards 52.5% to 49.4%.

The Kings trailed for the entirety of the first half. It was 28-26 after the first period. Washington took its biggest lead of 14 points at 54-40 late in the second quarter. It was 54-43 at halftime.
The Kings scored the first six points of the third quarter and chipped away at the lead. Their first lead of the game came on a Fox basket that made it 66-65. Washington still went into the fourth quarter with a 74-73 lead.
The fourth quarter featured seven lead changes and two ties. Washington went up by six at 81-75, but the Kings scored the next eight points to take back the lead, with Mitchell hitting a pair of three-pointers. Washington’s last lead came at 92-91 with under under six minutes to play. It was all Kings from there, as they went on a 19-3 run over the next five minutes, with Davis and Sabonis scoring five points each, as the Kings built a 15-point lead at 110-95 with a little more than a minute to go.
