The Sacramento Kings avoided a second straight embarrassing road loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, holding on for an extremely close 95-93 victory.
Neither team ever led by more than seven points as the Kings (45-32) rallied in the second half for the win. There were 10 ties and 10 lead changes.
Domantas Sabonis had one of his best games of the season with 34 points (15-for-20 shooting, 3-for-3 on three-pointers) and 19 rebounds (eight on the offensive end). Keegan Murray made five three pointers en route to 17 points and Malik Monk scored 15 off the bench.
Shaedon Sharpe led the Trail Blazers with 19 points.

Portland took a six-point lead four times in the first quarter. That would turn out to be the biggest lead of the game for the Trail Blazers. It was 25-23 at the end of the first, with Sabonis scoring 13 points.
Neither team led by more than four points in the second quarter as the lead changed hands several times. Portland led 43-41 at the break.
The Kings scored the first six points of the third quarter to take the lead, and Murray three-pointer put Sacramento up by six at 50-44. The quarter featured a few more lead changes, and the Kings led 69-66 heading to the final period.
The Trail Blazers never regained the lead in the fourth quarter, though they did tie the game at 74. Sacramento’s biggest lead of the game came in the final two minutes, as a Murray three-pointer made it 95-88. The Kings wouldn’t score again, and though the Trail Blazers scored the last five points to get within two, they ran out of time for a game-tying attempt.
