Great Teams of the Past marches on through baseball history, and season number 4 featured squads from 1950 to 1960.
Due to popular demand, one major change was made. Seasons are now featuring eight teams instead of nine going forward. That will eliminate the bye and keep all of the teams at the same number of games played after each week.
To keep a 32-game schedule so that records can be compared from season to season, teams are now playing five games against four teams, and four games against the other three teams. Week 1 consists of a jamboree-style format with each team playing four different teams for one game apiece. Then weeks 2-8 will be the standard four-game series.
Just like previous seasons, teams utilized a four-man starting rotation (the four pitchers will be ordered randomly for each series). Starting lineups remain constant, unless an injury knocks a player out for a limited number of games.
The first two weeks were played with APBA basic cards-and-dice game. Beginning in week 3, I switched to a hybrid version that incorporates elements of the master APBA game.

The eight teams: 1950 Philadelphia Phillies, 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers, 1953 New York Yankees, 1954 Cleveland Indians, 1954 New York Giants, 1957 Milwaukee Braves, 1959 Chicago White Sox, 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates.
The 1953 Yankees won the league with a 22-10 record, finishing four games better than the 1954 Giants and the 1957 Braves.
Season 4 ran from October to December 2025.
