GTOP S3W2: Recap

It’s been an interesting start to Season 3, with seven of the nine teams at .500 or better. Four of the eight series have been splits, and there’s only been one sweep, the 1935 Chicago Cubs routing the 1934 Detroit Tigers in the final match-up of week two. It’s not looking for good for the two entrants from 1934, with the Tigers starting 0-4 and the St. Louis Cardinals at 2-6. Among the all-stars so far, the 1931 Philadelphia Athletics’ Lefty Grove has thrown two shutouts, and the 1937 New York Yankees’ Lou Gehrig has five home runs in eight games, three more than anyone else.

Week three kicks off with a classic Red Sox-Yankees rivalry series!
