As hot as the San Francisco Giants have been for the last month, they haven’t had many series sweeps. However, they got their second three-game sweep of the season here at home against the Atlanta Braves (just like they did in real life).
Dominic Smith, just brought up from the minors, had a monster performance, batting .636 (7-for-11) with four extra-base hits and seven RBI. Mike Yastrzemski, Matt Chapman and Wilmer Flores all had five hits in three games.
The Giants are now a season-best eight games over .500.

June 6 (9-6 win): The Giants scored six times in the bottom of the second, featuring a three-run homer by Heliot Ramos and a two-run double by Dominic Smith, to go up 6-1. The Braves made it 6-5 in the fourth, and tied it at six in the top of the eighth on Marcell Ozuna’s solo homer. The Giants came right back and scored three times in the bottom of the eighth as Tyler Fitzgerald and Jung Hoo Lee had RBI doubles and Ramos had an RBI single.

June 7 (9-2 win): Logan Webb was impressive again and won for the sixth time in seven starts to improve to 8-3. He gave up one earned run in six innings and struck out 10. Dominic Smith drove in three runs with an RBI single in the first and a two-run double in the third. Willy Adames had a two-run triple in the fifth and Mike Yastrzemski had a two-run single in the seventh.

June 8 (4-1 win): The Braves scored quickly in the top of the first on Michael Harris’ RBI double, but that would be it. Landen Roupp pitched six excellent innings to improve to 6-3. The Giants went ahead in the fifth on Heliot Ramos’ RBI double and Dominic Smith’s two-run homer. They added an insurance run on a Mike Yastrzemski RBI single in the eighth. Both Smith and Yastrzemski reached base on all four of their plate appearances.
