The San Francisco Giants did what they needed to in the final series of the 2025 replay, taking two of three games at home against the Colorado Rockies to win the National League West.
Using the adjusted standings based on the Giants’ head-to-head results, San Francisco finished in first place with an 88-74 record (seven games better than real life), one game ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers (87-75) and two better than the San Diego Padres (86-76).
Casey Schmitt had a team-best four hits in seven at-bats, good for a .571 average. Willy Adames had a pair of home runs to give him 40 for the season, 10 better than what he actually had in 2025.

Sept. 26 (5-3 win): The Rockies went up 2-0 in the second inning on Ezequiel Tovar’s two-run single. Willy Adames provided most of the Giants’ offense with a pair of two-run homers, his 39th and 40th of the season. Jung Hoo Lee also had an RBI single in the second inning.

Sept. 27 (1-0 win): Justin Verlander tossed seven shutout innings to improve to 8-13. The Rockies only got a runner as far as second base once in the contest. The Giants had the bases loaded in the second and fifth innings but couldn’t score. They finally got a run in the bottom of the sixth on Casey Schmitt’s solo homer, his 17th, and that turned out to be the only run of the game.

Sept. 28 (2-1 loss): Logan Webb dropped his season ERA to 2.35 with five scoreless innings, but didn’t factor into the decision. It was scoreless going to the sixth inning, when the Rockies broke through against the Giants’ bullpen with two runs on an RBI double by Brenton Doyle and an RBI single by Yanquiel Fernandez. The Giants got one back in the eighth inning on a bases-loaded walk to Rafael Devers, but couldn’t bring home the tying run in the season finale.
